Podium Alternatives for Small Businesses (2026, Priced)

Podium is a well-known reviews, texting and payments platform for local businesses. People shop for alternatives because of price, because of contract terms or because they only need part of what it does.

This guide compares seven alternatives. For each, you'll see what it costs according to its own pricing page (or a named third-party estimate when there isn't one) and who it suits.

How we did this comparison:

  • Every price links to its source and was checked on 21 October 2026. Prices change; check the vendor's page before you buy.
  • Competitor prices are shown as US$. BeeCMO is our product, and we say so where it appears.
  • Where a competitor is the better pick, we say that too.

What does Podium cost?

Podium does not publish prices. Its pricing page says plans are "designed to fit your specific business needs" and asks you to talk to sales (Podium pricing, checked Oct 2026). CostBench, a third-party price tracker, estimates around US$399/month for the entry plan and US$599/month for the next tier (CostBench, checked Oct 2026). Those are estimates, not quotes. Your price depends on locations and features.

So before asking what's cheaper, ask which jobs you actually need done:

  1. Review requests and replies
  2. Two-way texting with customers (including missed-call text-back)
  3. Web chat and lead capture
  4. Payments by text
  5. Marketing beyond reviews: social posts, Google Business Profile posts, ads, SEO

Podium's own pricing page lists reviews, phones, a shared lead inbox, website chat, payments, text marketing, automations and an "AI Employee" (Podium pricing, checked Oct 2026), so it covers jobs 1 to 4 and more. Most alternatives cover only some of these. A few reach further into marketing.

Sources for each row are in the sections below.

1. NiceJob: the focused review tool

NiceJob lists US$75/month (Starter) and US$125/month (Pro), with no contracts. Starter includes SMS and email review requests and review widgets for your website; Pro adds rebooking reminders, referrals, broadcasts and AI replies (NiceJob pricing, checked Oct 2026).

Choose it if you mainly want more reviews from completed jobs and a website widget, and your phones and lead handling are fine as they are.

Skip it if you need two-way texting for leads or missed calls.

2. GoHighLevel: the do-everything CRM

GoHighLevel publishes US$97/month (Starter), US$297/month (Unlimited) and US$497/month (Agency Pro). Features such as SMS, calling, Conversation AI, Voice AI and Reviews AI carry usage-based charges on top (GoHighLevel pricing, checked Oct 2026).

Choose it if you're an agency, or a hands-on owner who wants funnels, pipelines, texting, email and automations in one place, and you're willing to build them.

Skip it if you want something working by this afternoon. It can do a lot, but you (or a consultant) have to set it up, and usage fees make the monthly bill move around.

3. Thryv: business software with marketing

Thryv lists US$99/month (Starter) and US$399/month (Signature), with a custom tier, and a 15% saving for annual billing (Thryv pricing, checked Oct 2026).

Choose it if you also want scheduling, invoicing and a CRM from the same vendor.

Skip it if you already run field-service software such as Jobber or Housecall Pro and only need the marketing layer.

4. Broadly: done-for-you reviews and chat

Broadly lists Standard US$399/month, Pro US$699/month and Premium US$999/month, each with a US$350 onboarding and setup fee, billed month to month, plus a US$799/month AI package. Its FAQ also says there are no setup fees. That contradicts the tier listings, so confirm with them (Broadly pricing, checked Oct 2026).

Choose it if you want a managed service and are comfortable at that price.

5. Weave: for dental and medical offices

Weave says plans start from US$199/month and lists Pro, Elite and Ultimate tiers without individual prices (Weave pricing, checked Oct 2026). Weave combines phones, texting, reminders and reviews, and integrates with practice-management systems.

Choose it if you run a dental or medical practice and want your phone system and patient texting from one vendor.

6. Birdeye: multi-location reputation

Birdeye does not publish prices (Birdeye pricing, checked Oct 2026). CostBench estimates US$299-449 per location per month and reports a one-year minimum and annual auto-renewal (CostBench, checked Oct 2026).

Choose it if you have many locations and need enterprise reporting, listings and surveys across all of them.

7. BeeCMO: our product

BeeCMO is an AI marketing team for small businesses: Google review replies and requests (by text, WhatsApp or email, never gated), missed-call text-back and two-way SMS for US, Canadian and Australian numbers, web form and lead-ad replies, weekly Google Business Profile posts, social posts, SEO and AI-search tracking, and Meta ads with budget caps. Anything that publishes or spends waits for your approval on your phone.

Plans are $49, $99 and $199 a month, month to month, with a 14-day trial that needs no card and ends on a Free plan rather than a charge (pricing).

Choose it if you want reviews, lead replies and the rest of your marketing handled for one monthly price.

Skip it if you need payments by text, a full phone system, or deep practice-management integrations today. Podium and Weave do those; we don't.

How to choose in 15 minutes

  1. List the jobs you need, using the five above. Cross out anything another tool already does well for you.
  2. Ask for the total monthly cost in writing, including setup, per-location fees, texting and usage charges.
  3. Ask about the contract: length, auto-renewal, notice period and how to cancel. Get it in the order form. A promise on a sales call doesn't count.
  4. Check who owns the accounts. Your Google Business Profile, phone number and ad accounts should stay in your name.
  5. Start with a trial or month-to-month wherever possible.
