Podium vs Birdeye (and where BeeCMO fits)

Podium and Birdeye are established review and messaging platforms for local businesses. Owners tell us the choice between them usually comes down to price, contract terms and who keeps the accounts, so this page compares those, with BeeCMO alongside. GoHighLevel, an all-in-one CRM that many agencies resell, keeps a column for reference, and our GoHighLevel alternative page goes into it in full. All three are capable products. Who keeps the accounts

BeeCMO connects to your Google Business Profile, Meta pages and ad account, WhatsApp number and website. It never takes ownership of them, so they keep working exactly as before if you cancel. You can export your leads, posts, reviews and articles at any time, and for 30 days after you cancel.

Lock-in is one of the most common complaints about local marketing tools. For example, in Whitespark's test of canceling Yext (a listings service) for one business, 60% of its 60 listings disappeared or showed incorrect information after cancellation [5].
