AI answers are now part of local search: 45% of US consumers used AI tools for local business recommendations in 2026, up from 6% a year earlier (BrightLocal). If ChatGPT names three plumbers in your town and you aren't one of them, the phone doesn't ring.
What it does
Site audit, with two fixes a day
A weekly crawl reads your robots.txt, sitemaps and pages. It flags duplicates, orphan pages, broken links and missing tags, and gives you a score. Every day it suggests the two fixes that matter most, with a snippet you can paste.
Search Console, kept beyond 16 months
It syncs queries and pages from Google Search Console daily and keeps its own history, so you aren't stuck with Google's 16-month window. It finds pages losing clicks and keywords sitting on page two.
AI search visibility
It asks ChatGPT (with web search), Gemini (with Google Search grounding) and Perplexity the questions your customers ask, such as "best emergency plumber near me", and records whether you are mentioned or cited, and which competitors are. You get a score, share of voice, and the prompts you are losing.
Competitor watch
It reads your competitors' sitemaps and feeds every day. When they publish something new, you get a short summary and a note if it covers a topic you have no page for.
AI readiness
It checks llms.txt, robots.txt and whether AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot can reach you. It can generate an llms.txt from your indexable pages.
Core Web Vitals
Weekly PageSpeed checks on your homepage and top pages, with lab and real-user field data where Google has it.
A blog writer that refuses to repeat itself
Hand most AI writers a keyword and they'll write another article on it, even if you already have three. Scout Bee checks first.
Cannibalization check before writing. The topic and planned headings are compared with every page on your site and your Search Console rankings. If you already rank for it, you get a refresh of that page instead of a competing article. If two pages already cover it, it suggests merging.
Research from real sources. It reads the top-ranking pages for the topic and the questions people ask, and summarizes them.
Outline, then draft, section by section. Your brand voice and approved facts go into every section.
Claims ledger. Each factual claim is checked against the research sources and your approved facts. A claim marked "supported" must point to a source that was actually read. Unsupported claims are removed or softened before you see the draft.
SEO pack. Meta title and description within length limits, FAQ section, Article and FAQ schema, up to five internal links to related pages, and an optional featured image.
Your approval, then publishing. Published to WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Shopify, a GitHub pull request, or any CMS through a signed webhook. New URLs are submitted through IndexNow if you connect Bing Webmaster Tools.
Refreshes that only touch what decayed
When a page loses clicks, Scout Bee rewrites only the sections that need it, at most about half the page and never the introduction. Untouched sections stay exactly as they were, byte for byte, and the URL and slug stay the same. On WordPress it keeps your block markup.
Where your keywords come from
It starts with what's free and real: your own Search Console queries, keywords you add or import from Semrush, Ahrefs or Keyword Planner, Google Autocomplete, and your competitors' page titles. If you add a search API key, it also uses related searches and "People also ask". Keywords are grouped into topic clusters and spaced into a monthly plan.
What you connect
Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Bing Webmaster Tools for data. WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Shopify, GitHub (Astro, Next.js, Hugo) or a custom webhook for publishing. All integrations
Honest limits
AI search scores are a proxy. Answers through the ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity APIs can differ from what a person sees in the apps, and Google AI Overviews are not tracked directly.
We don't build backlinks or join link exchanges.
A refresh is only written back when we can read the original from your CMS. If we can only see the public page, you get the draft to apply by hand, because rebuilding a CMS document from public HTML loses formatting.
