How to use the drafts
- Open your profile on Google (search your business name, or go to Google Business Profile) and choose Add update.
- Paste a draft, add a real photo from your business, and pick the suggested button (Book, Order online, Buy, Learn more, Sign up or Call now).
- Post one now and save the others for the next two weeks.
The drafts leave out phone numbers, emails and links in the text, because Google may reject posts that include them. Add your link through the button instead. Google's rules are in its Business Profile photos, videos and posts content policy, which suggests a Call now button instead of a phone number in the text.
What makes a good Google post
- One idea per post. An offer, a piece of news, or one useful tip.
- Your city, once. It helps people (and search) understand where you work.
- A real photo. Show your team, your work or your premises. People can tell a stock photo.
- A clear next step. The button does the work. The text just needs to give a reason to tap it.
