LinkedIn Marketing for B2B Businesses in India (2026)

By BeeCMO teamPublished · 8 min read

For an Indian B2B business, LinkedIn works best with two accounts working together: a complete company page that posts at least once a week, and the founder's or a senior person's own profile posting 2 to 3 times a week about real work. Post proof: projects delivered, plant and site photos, certifications, and answers to the questions buyers ask before they send an RFQ. LinkedIn's own data says pages that post weekly get twice the engagement.

Why LinkedIn matters for B2B in India

If you sell to other businesses, your buyer is a purchase manager, plant head, architect, project consultant, HR head or importer. Before they call you, many look you up. LinkedIn is where they check whether you're a real firm with real people and real projects.

That's true whether you're:

  • a precision components manufacturer in Rajkot or Pune;
  • a garment or spices exporter in Tiruppur or Kochi;
  • an MEP or interior fit-out contractor in Bengaluru or Gurugram;
  • a CA firm, IT services company, testing lab or staffing agency.

LinkedIn says it has more than 1.4 billion members worldwide (LinkedIn). You don't need that many. You need the 200 to 2,000 people who make or influence buying decisions in your niche to recognise your name.

Company page vs founder profile: which one?

Use both. They do different jobs.

Set up the company page properly first

LinkedIn's best-practice guide for pages says (LinkedIn):

  • Complete pages get 30% more weekly views. Add a logo, a cover image, website, location, industry and company size.
  • Members search by keyword, so write the overview with the words buyers use: "CNC machined components", "HDPE pipes", "turnkey interiors", "GST and audit services".
  • Customise the call-to-action button.
  • Use Showcase Pages for distinct brands or business lines, for example a separate export brand.

To create a page you need a personal LinkedIn account and must confirm you have the right to act for the company. LinkedIn says pages can be created on desktop or the iOS app, but not on Android (LinkedIn Help).

Why the founder profile matters as much

LinkedIn's March 2026 feed update says it wants "real people and real perspectives" to stand out (LinkedIn). In practice, a founder who writes about a hard shipment, a quality failure they fixed or why they turned down an order gets more conversations than a logo ever does. The page is where buyers check you out; the person is usually who they message.

How often to post on LinkedIn

Pick a rhythm you can keep up for a year.

  • Company page: at least once a week. LinkedIn says companies that post weekly see a 2x lift in engagement with their content (LinkedIn).
  • Founder or sales head: 2 to 3 times a week if you can write them yourself; once a week is fine.
  • Employees: LinkedIn suggests notifying employees about your most important page posts, no more than once a week.
  • Timing: LinkedIn says to post when your audience is active. For Indian B2B buyers that's usually working hours on weekdays. Check your page analytics after a month and adjust.

Illustrative example: a mid-sized pump manufacturer in Coimbatore posts on the company page every Tuesday (project or product), the MD posts on Thursday (a lesson or market note), and the sales head reshares and comments on both.

What to post: 12 ideas for Indian B2B firms

Each idea below shows buyers something they would otherwise have to ask for.

Proof of capability

  1. Project delivered. Photo, client type (with permission), scope, timeline, one problem solved. "Fit-out of a 40,000 sq ft office in Hinjewadi, handed over in 11 weeks."
  2. Inside the plant or site. A machine, a quality check, a loading bay. Photos of real work beat stock images.
  3. Certifications and audits. ISO, BIS, CE, an export house status, a customer audit you cleared. Only post what you hold, with the certificate number where relevant.
  4. Capacity and lead times. What you can make or deliver per month, and minimum order quantities.

Expertise

  1. Answer a buyer question. "How we pick between SS304 and SS316 for food plants." "What delays GST refunds for exporters."
  2. A mistake and the fix. A failed batch, a delayed consignment, and what you changed.
  3. Market notes. Raw material price moves, port delays, new rules. Link the official source.
  4. A short document post. A one-page spec sheet or checklist as a PDF. LinkedIn's best-practice page recommends documents and images.

People and trust

  1. Team spotlights. A machinist's 15 years, a site engineer's first project. LinkedIn suggests giving employees kudos from the page.
  2. Hiring posts. They show you're growing, and they reach people outside your usual network.
  3. Events and exhibitions. Stall number before, photos and conversations after.
  4. Customer mentions. Reshare posts where a client, partner or employee mentions you. LinkedIn lists these under your page's Activity tab.

Festivals work on LinkedIn too, if they're about your people rather than a generic greeting card. A Diwali photo from the plant floor says more than a template. Our festival marketing calendar for 2026 to 2027 lists the dates.

Formats that work, according to LinkedIn

  • Images: about 2x higher comment rate. Collages of 3 to 4 images work well.
  • Video: LinkedIn says video gets 5x more engagement and live video 24x more.
  • Hashtags: LinkedIn suggests 3 to 5 relevant ones.

Those figures are LinkedIn's own and come from its best-practice pages (LinkedIn).

What LinkedIn shows less of

LinkedIn has said plainly what it limits in the feed:

  • Promotional posts with no insight and off-topic posts (LinkedIn).
  • Engagement bait such as "comment to agree" or "like if you agree" prompts.
  • Recycled and repetitive posts, and unoriginal reshares with nothing added.
  • Engagement pods and comment automation. Its 2026 feed update says it's making pods "ineffective" and targeting tools that create fake conversations (LinkedIn).

So skip "Agree?" one-liners, auto-comment tools and posting the same brochure every week. Don't automate comments under your name. Replies are where B2B conversations start, so write them yourself.

Turning LinkedIn into enquiries

Posts make buyers recognise your name. These steps turn that into enquiries.

  • Make contact easy. Put a WhatsApp number or enquiry link on the page and in the founder's profile.
  • Invite the right people. LinkedIn lets you invite first-degree connections to follow your page, and employees can invite theirs.
  • Target organic posts. LinkedIn lets pages target posts by language, location, industry and seniority at no cost.
  • Boost only proven posts. If a project post does well, LinkedIn suggests boosting top performers with paid promotion. Set a fixed budget first.
  • Reply fast. A message from a purchase manager is a lead. Treat it like one.

A simple monthly plan

2Certification, capacity or productAnswer a common buyer question
3Team spotlight or hiringMarket note with a source
4Event, exhibition or document postA mistake and the fix

That's 4 page posts and 4 to 8 profile posts a month. Batch them in one sitting at the start of the month.

How BeeCMO helps

  • Buzz Bee turns a brief, a link or a blog post into a LinkedIn post in your tone (text, links, images or video), and sends them to you on WhatsApp for one-tap approval before anything goes live.
  • Today it publishes to your personal LinkedIn profile. Posting to company pages you administer comes once LinkedIn approves our app for its Community Management API, which LinkedIn reviews in stages (Microsoft Learn). Until then you can copy approved drafts to your page by hand.
  • LinkedIn sign-in needs re-authorising every 60 days.

FAQ

Should a B2B company post from its LinkedIn page or the founder's profile?

Both. The company page gives buyers somewhere credible to check you, and LinkedIn says complete pages get 30% more weekly views. The founder's profile usually reaches more people and starts more conversations, because people follow people.

How often should a B2B business post on LinkedIn?

At least once a week on the company page. LinkedIn says companies that post weekly see a 2x lift in engagement. Founders can add 2 to 3 posts a week if they can keep it up.

What should a manufacturer post on LinkedIn?

Proof buyers would otherwise ask for: projects delivered, plant and quality photos, certifications you hold, capacity and lead times, team spotlights, and answers to common buyer questions.

Does LinkedIn reduce the reach of promotional posts?

LinkedIn says it limits recommendations for posts that are promotional without adding insight, engagement bait, and unoriginal reshares. It also says it is making engagement pods and comment automation ineffective.

Can a scheduling tool post to my LinkedIn company page?

Only tools LinkedIn has approved for its Community Management API can post to company pages. BeeCMO posts to personal profiles today and adds company pages once LinkedIn approves our app.
