Source: Meta's INR list rates, linked from the WhatsApp Business Platform pricing page, effective 1 October 2026, checked 24 October 2026. Meta changes rates only on the first day of a quarter. Authentication messages sent to users outside India can carry a higher authentication-international rate.
How Meta charges
- Per delivered message. You pay only when a message is delivered.
- By category. Marketing (offers, festival greetings), utility (order and appointment updates) and authentication (one-time passwords) are charged at the rates above. Since 1 October 2026, utility messages sent inside an open customer service window are charged too.
- Service messages. Free-form replies to customers: each business phone number gets 1,000 free a month, then each one is charged.
- Free entry point windows. When someone messages you from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, messages inside that window aren't charged.
- Volume tiers. Utility and authentication rates drop at high volumes. The calculator uses list rates, so a large sender may pay a little less.
- GST. Indian GST at 18% applies on top. Your provider may add its own markup per message; enter it to see the effect.

What BeeCMO adds
Nothing to Meta's fees. Messenger Bee connects your own number to the official WhatsApp Cloud API, Meta bills messages to your own account, and you see an estimate before every broadcast. See Messenger Bee or India pricing.
Is the WhatsApp Business API free?
No. Meta charges for template messages by category. Service replies are free up to 1,000 a month per number, then charged.
Why is my bill higher than Meta's rate?
Usually GST, a provider's markup per message, or authentication messages to users outside India at the international rate.
Does this include my provider's fees?
Only the per-message markup you enter. Monthly platform fees are separate.
